AVOIDING THE OOPS FACTOR
Most of us have experienced looking with affection at a newly minted brochure or Website and then coming to the realization that there was a critical or even potentially embarrassing typo that somehow slipped through. We call this the Oops Factor, and part of our job is to help you avoid ever having to deal with it.
While sometimes proofreading is marketed as a separate service, to us—it’s a follow-on to copyediting, an initial review of existing copy after changes and edits have been incorporated to ensure that no new errors have been introduced and that a document is ready for prime time—whether that means going to print or getting posted on the Web. We’ve worked on everything from court transcripts to manuscripts and from punchy advertising to erudite professional journals and resort brochures. Helping our clients achieve great success from their marketing and advertising messages is one of the things we’re most passionate about (and good at, if we say so ourselves!).
